Transportation in Cambodia

Most of Cambodian people have their own car. There is 89% of used cars that import to Cambodia and only 11% of new cars.So why used car are more popular in Cambodia.

Recording to reality most of Cambodian people was not able to afford brand new car because the tax was too high and it will be loss too much price of the car when you sold it. Most of the car are brought form U.S.A. However, not all of them are used some of them are brand new too. Some of the car from U.S.A are salvage title which mean it had been crash or damage,especially 8-15 years old cars. It's very dangerous to drive those car. When they import the used car to Cambodia, most of them are wreck and the they repair it as new as the can. That is the common thing that happen in Cambodia. The most common cars in Cambodia are Toyota highlander, Camry, Vigo/Revo, corolla.
